I have a passion for the sun. I love the freshness of first light and the calm grandeur of a fireball sunset; the colors that interplay with all types of clouds and the steadiness of being there – even when we are on the opposite side. My appreciation of each new day reminds me of the power in this celestial source.
Wikipedia shares: The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, with internal convective motion that generates a magnetic field via a dynamo process. It is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth.
In my 66+ years, there have been many viewings of this magnificent and simple dual action in numerous time-zones including ALL 50 states, Puerto Rico, British Columbia, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Slovenjia, Austria, France, Belgium, Taiwan and Malaysia. However, when I share the calculation in # of days (as of this writing) – 24,391 sunrises and sunsets – I marvel at the rejuvenation I have received from “the most important source of energy for life on Earth.” Couple that with my creator’s gifts, and I would say that each day’s 86,400 seconds is a blessing almost too magnanimous to hold.
I have caught myself pausing and embracing the beauty of a sun-rise or set, and wished I could capture the sun’s energy. While sojourning on my 2009 “Remember the Ice” book tour, the scene was set for bringing to life a vision I had long fostered.
The sun was beginning to bid adieu. The Gulf of Trieste, Italia was the location. May 23, 2009 the date. Enjoying an after dinner drink at a Ristorante on the Piazza Unità d’Italia, the moment presented itself; and I EMBRACED IT!
It was another nudge to renew my goals and signature moments and strength to push through tough times and re-joy-ce in the knowledge I could look forward to my next deposit of 86,400 seconds of creativity.
Now that we are into the new year some 37 days, my wish is that you re-joy-ce in every day. Receive the energy that is aching for your embrace – and go forward to create something great – every day.
You have all the necessary tools. Recharge your soul-er battery and share your energy. You have the power to make a difference. Resolve to start your own recharging ritual.
